A Featured article is an article showcased on the main page of the Wiki. This means that it was worked on for some time before being nominated for Featured status and approved by the community.

Featured articles meet a specific set of criteria which are listed below. This ensures that they meet the standard of quality that the community feels is necessary for the article to represent the Wiki on the Main Page. They are more detailed and longer than Good articles.

A small brain (Brain.jpg) in the top right corner of an article's page indicates that the article is featured. The article's name and link will also be placed in the list below.

Criteria

  1. … be well written, comprehensive and detailed.
    1. To be well written, the article must have a prose that is engaging and of a professional standard.
    2. To be detailed, an article must be written in an encyclopedic format with no point of view in the detail. The detail must also contain all relevant major facts and plot points.
    3. The article must acknowledge and explore all aspects of the subject and cover every encyclopedic angle.
    4. To be well written, comprehensive and detailed, the article must be of substantial length, long enough to provide sufficient information, depth and analysis of the subject without including unnecessary information.
    5. The article must be clear, using a logical structure written in plain language.
    6. The article must follow standard writing conventions of modern English (ie, correct grammar, punctuation and spelling).
    7. All grammar and spelling must be accurate.
  2. … have an introduction of at least two-hundred (200) words.
  3. … adhere to all policies on The House Wiki.
  4. … be properly sourced with all available appearances.
